I'm proud to announce my first ever blogging event, and it's something close to my breast, I mean heart.
To coincide with Pink Ribbon Day in Australia on October 22, I am inviting people to make a pink dish and post it (or email me photo, recipe and story) by 15 October.
To enter;
- you must make a dish that is either pink or uses a pink ingredient (I will accept red) eg guava, pink grapefruit, pink salmon etc etc
- your post must include the recipe
- optional - a story of how breast cancer has affected you or why supporting breast cancer research is important to you
- post it on your blog by 15 October.
Once you have posted your entry email me at minhnieme@gmail.com with the following details;
- Your Name
- Your Blog
- Title of post/recipe
- URL to post
- photo
I will do a round up of all entries on 16 October. You will then be able to vote for your favourite entry (will be a poll). The 3 most popular entries will be announced on Pink Ribbon Day on 22 October and win the Pink Pack pictured below.
(Pink Pack includes a Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Singlet, Pink Wish Tim Tams, Pink Wish Kit Kats and a current magazine with Pink Ribbon baking recipes. A percentage from the sale of these items are donated to Breast Cancer Research so you can feel good about winning a Pink Pack)
I will be posting some Pink Ribbon recipes as well.

Great idea for your first blogging event - Pink for October.
But, as a breast cancer survivor myself, I have to say something about all those pink candy bars on your website : most mass-produced candy contains perservatives and additives that any cancer patient would be best to avoid. Even if they slap a pink lable on it.
For a sweet tooth, the best choice is always fruit - or something made from Organic Cane Sugar.
I switched to an organic diet after my diagnosis in 2005...and I am glad I did. No, I did not give up sweets - health food stores always have delicious cookies and cakes made from cane sugar. And of course, the best sweet is anything made from scratch using natural ingredients.
